Innovation Fund

The Innovation Fund was set up to give teams and individuals with bright ideas around service improvement the opportunity to turn their ideas into action.

The Board agreed that a sum of £30,000 be set aside.  Staff were asked to come up with a list of ideas in relation to six themes:

• Communication                                
• Quality of life
• Empowerment/employee representation
• Leadership   
• Motivation
• Training

The first successful application came from Dumfries and Galloway who were allocated a sum of £11,000 as they wanted to produce a better way of providing training around restraint.

A further allocation has allowed Turning Point Scotland to produce an interactive CD-ROM which will assist services with support plans.
