Turning Point Scotland is a national social care charity providing services to adults with addictions, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, those caught in the criminal justice system and those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. In general terms you will recognise that people’s needs differ, so you’ll be comfortable tailoring your approach to a broad range of individuals, and you will know that a consistently excellent standard of care is key to providing the best support possible. Primarily you’ll see our service users as ordinary people and be motivated by the desire to help them fulfil their full potential. We operate a List of Approved Relief Workers who may be contacted by services when there is a need to engage additional workers in order to provide the required support to someone who uses our services. Relief Workers are primarily deployed to cover periods of leave, or sickness absence and to provide additional support during periods of peak activity. We are delighted to receive speculative applications from candidates interested in undertaking Relief shifts. Turning Point Scotland operates Services in the following areas: Aberdeenshire Ayrshire Dumfries and Galloway Dundee Edinburgh Fraserburgh Galashiels Glasgow Inverclyde Moray North Lanarkshire Perth and Kinross Renfrewshire. An application pack is attached to the job pack provided above. You can choose to download, complete and email to email@example.com, or post to the address provided in purple on our covering letter. Please note we will not confirm receipt of emailed or posted applications. If you experience any difficulties please call 0141 427 8220. If you have a disability and it would be of assistance to you to have the Application Form and Information Pack in an alternative format, please contact the Human Resources Department and we will do what we can to arrange this for you. A member of our Human Resources team will then forward your application to the Services closest to your home location. Should your application be successful for interview, the relevant Service will make contact with you directly. Although we tend to have an on-going need for relief workers, at times applications to be on the Approved Relief Worker List may be more numerous than the requirement at that time and in these situations we will hold applications for consideration for up to 6 months. Thank you for your interest in Turning Point Scotland.
