Learning Disability Services
Turning Point Scotland supports 318 service users with learning disabilities. Support levels vary across Scotland accordingly to individual service users needs.
Learning disabilities affect about 15 percent of the population, and can have a profound impact on individuals and families.
People with learning disabilities are one of the most vulnerable groups in society, and The Scottish Executive is committed to policies which place emphasis on delivering person-centred services and aims to develop a framework for better social and health care services for people with learning disabilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Scotland.
The Scottish Executive is implementing the recommendation of The Same as you? (SAY) review for services for people with learning disabilities.
