Paul Scott’s participation in the Special Olympics 2017

Paul has recently purchased and received his Olympic standard bicycle in preparation for the Special Olympics event in Sheffield 7th-12th August 2017. Final preparations are under way! Training is ongoing fortnightly at Forfar Orchard Park Industrial estate and Paul has not missed a single training session.  Paul received his kit bag on the 18th June  which includes his teams cycling clothing and his trainer has organised his accommodation along with fellow athletes from his squad. Paul will be travelling to and from the event with his training squad and they will be staying together whilst there.

Paul is excited at the prospect of competing in this years Special Olympics and is keen to show off his cycling skills, ability and speed. Paul is passionate about cycling and enjoys regular outings on his bike around his local area for practice, fitness and sheer enjoyment.

Paul’s trainers have said he works very hard during his training sessions and is full of enthusiasm for the sport. TPS support workers have noted Paul’s commitment to his training sessions, Paul is first on his bike, last off his bike and gives his all to his training.

TPS support staff are supporting Paul with his cycling goals and ambitions by supporting healthy eating; exercise and as many cycling activities as possible; holiday support planning and supporting Paul to maintain his cycling equipment.
