Rosie’s Cafe hosts Employability event

A group of people supported from across all 6 of the workshops at Rosie’s Social Enterprises gathered at Rosie’s Cafe for an informal presentation on local opportunities.

With presentations from Remploy and ACVO, the event provided information on what volunteering and employment support opportunities are available within Aberdeen.

Since the event  they have had several service users show interest in volunteering locally, as well as undertaking part time training funded by Individual Learning Accounts.

This will benefit them in the transition from supported work placement at Rosie’s into employment or training.

The event was a follow up from the recent addition to training provided by Rosie’s, our one day Getting Ready For Work course.

This provides basic skills in how to complete a C.V and covering letter, recognising personal qualities and transferable skills and interview preparation.
