Turnaround Dumbarton Opens its Doors

29 June 2009

To celebrate Turning Point Scotland's 10th Anniversary, Turnaround Dumbarton, a community base offering support to young men between 18-30 who have been involved in the criminal justice system, is holding an Open Day on Tuesday 30 June 2009.

Turnaround Dumbarton is one of four community bases which provide a unique opportunity for people to access structured support to tackle the difficult issues they face. It aims to have a positive impact on both the lives of the individual and the wider community.

The service is a unique partnership between three national voluntary sector agencies, Turning Point Scotland, Apex Scotland and Venture Trust, each with their own experience, skills and expertise to offer service users.

The Turnaround Dumbarton Open Day will offer the opportunity to meet some of the young men who use the service and find out more about the support they receive.

Andrew Davies, Service Co-ordinator at Turnaround Dumbarton said: "The open day is a chance for us to welcome stakeholders and let them see for themselves the kind of service we provide.  During the 10th anniversary year of Turning Point Scotland, it is great to be able to let people know about the support provided by the organisation. "

The Open Day takes place on Tuesday 30th June 2009 from 10am - 12pm at Turnaround, 138 - 142 High Street, Dumbarton, G82 1PQ. Refreshments will be provided.
