Midpoint
Midpoint provides housing support to single people with drug misuse issues who are homeless, have a history of homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless due to difficulty managing their tenancy.
Tenancy support:
The team offers emotional and practical support to people either in their own homes, temporary accommodation or hostels.
Service users are appointed a project and support worker at the outset and are seen by each worker weekly on a one to one basis. Midpoint aims to assist people to live independently and enable them to develop the skills and confidence required to do this successfully. Service users are involved in the decisions with regard to the implementation of their support and action plans ensuring these meet their individual needs. A variety of methods are used to achieve this aim.
Service hours:
Support is offered within the service users accommodation or at a mutually agreed location. Support is available between 0900 hours and 1700 hours Monday to Thursday and 0900 hours to 1630 hours on Friday.
Referral:
Workers from any health and social agency can refer a service users or self-referrals are welcome.
Due to the limited number of spaces, and as we cannot predict when a service user will dis-engage with the service, we do not offer a waiting list in order not to create unrealistic expectations on behalf of applicants. We will hold their information on file and contact them should a place become available.
