Midway
Midway is a community resettlement project for homeless individuals with mental health or an addiction issues.
Individuals placed in Midway will have a variety of issues and will require an individualised support package. Midway works in partnership with various agencies to optimise services users support.
Service users in general require support in the following areas:
- To maintain their tenancy, stable mental health and any addiction issues
- Achieving optimal statutory benefits
- Accessing statutory/voluntary agencies when required
- 8 weekly review to monitor/evaluate service users progress in their tenancy
- Making an application for a permanent tenancy
- In viewing an offer of a permanent tenancy
- Moving into their new tenancy and maintaining it
- To agree a discharge date from Midway
- Monitor service users progress and effectiveness of the service
Accommodation consists of temporary furnished flats providing by the Hamish Allan Centre. Flats are scattered throughout Glasgow. Service users are supported in the flats and once assessed as being able to cope with a tenancy; they are referred to Glasgow City Housing.
