A small group of dare-devils are set to conquer their fears and abseil down the Titan Crane in Clydebank on Saturday 26th of April.

Eight people are raising money for extra benefits for people supported by Turning Point Scotland.

The money will go towards the Make It Happen Fund, small amounts helping them buy equipment to learn a trade, take up a hobby, or take part in social activities to improve their quality of life.

The previous abseil last year raised nearly £2000 for Turning Point Scotland.

Built in 1907 on the site of the world famous John Brown’s shipyard, the Titan Crane stands at 150 feet high.

The area is steeped in history that put the Clyde on the map, where famous ships like the Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Royal Yacht Britannia were launched.

But the winds gusting down the Clyde can make even those with a good head for heights a little nervous!
