Getting Support | Services in Glasgow

The 218 service provides an alternative to custody for women in the justice system to support them. Many of the women who use the service will have a range of complex needs such as problematic alcohol or other drug use, mental health, physical health, trauma, chronic low self-esteem and self-confidence as well as social isolation.

Since 2005, we have worked in partnership with NHSGGC, Glasgow courts, criminal justice teams, community addiction teams and voluntary sector organisations to break the cycle of offending which results in the ‘revolving door’ syndrome of people maintaining their involvement in the justice system and prison service.

In that time, we have established an excellent reputation for helping people achieve their aspirations and discovering the self-development and reflection practices that work for them whilst utilising the skills and learning achieved within the service to help sustain their recovery and offending behaviour.
