Glasgow Social Opportunities

Turning Point Scotland Glasgow Social Opportunities enables people with early onset dementia or Huntington’s disease to fill their time with meaningful and enjoyable activity in the community.

Teaming up with Glasgow City Council since 2001, the service recognises the benefits of actively participating in social activities and leisure pursuits for mental health and wellbeing. People with life-limiting conditions can experience community interaction and involvement through a range of educational, employability or recreational activities. Having a sense of belonging to the community, a more positive identity or a valued role can help people with early onset dementia or Huntington’s disease have as fulfilling a life as possible.
