Do you want to be part of a new and exciting test of change?

As part of the National Drugs Death Task Force, Turning Point Scotland and Simon Community Scotland are taking part in an exciting test-of-change service, with the aim of providing a rapid response to individuals who have recently experienced a near-fatal overdose.

After receiving information from various sources including emergency services the team will assertively outreach to people in their own homes, communities or places they frequent, with the aim of providing harm reduction support and linking them to existing services.

Working in partnership, the team needs to be self-motivated to adapt to change as the service evolves, as we will be testing different interventions and approaches. The service will be evaluated by the Scottish Government and may roll out to other areas of the country.

We are looking for a Harm Reduction Practitioner who will deliver support to people who use Turning Point Scotland’s services and in doing so contribute to the provision of the highest possible quality of social care support which meets the service specification.

This is an incredible development opportunity for experienced staff to grow their skills and knowledge around harm reduction and make a real difference.
