Fun day Event to Raise Awareness of Alcohol and Drugs Support

TPS PEAR Service Funday, 14th August, McGavin Park, Kilwinning.

An afternoon of games, stalls, food and soft drinks is planned to help those affected by issues with alcohol and drugs, and their family and friends, by raising awareness of the help that is available in the community.

Turning Point Scotland’s North Ayrshire PEAR service (Prevention, Early intervention and Recovery) are running the event on Saturday 14th August 11am – 3pm, at McGavin Park, Kilwinning.

Jennifer Laing of TPS said: ‘We want to reconnect and bring together our community with a bit of fun after a long period of isolation for everybody. Feelings of isolation and being stigmatised are common to those and their families affected by drug and alcohol issues., but we can all challenge that in a positive and inclusive way. I’d encourage everyone to come along and join in the fun’.
