Turning Point Scotland’s Rosie’s Social Enterprises picked up the PwC Award for Excellence in Business in the Scottish heat of the Private Business Awards 2012.

This was marked by a dinner hosted by PwC and held at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh where representatives of Rosie’s were presented by the award by Dr Lena Wilson, Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise .

This led to Rosie’s attending the final of the Private Business Awards at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden as the guests of PwC on the 6th of September.

“The event was absolutely amazing with illustrious guests from Dyson, The White Company and JCB who all picked up awards. Rosie’s and Turning Point Scotland the parent charity got some fantastic exposure and rubbed shoulders with the best of British business who now all know about Rosie’s, the brand and the social aims of the business model.

The room was full of influential folk many of whom were fascinated by the concept of Rosie’s.  Nick Robinson Political Editor for the BBC who hosted the event described the growth of Rosie’s Enterprises which was a great feeling for the Aberdeen based team. ”
